Pennsylvania Joe’s

     Joe’s a bar, located in western Pennsylvania, is a “watering-hole” and confusing museum of taxidermy animals. 

     Regional bric-a-brac and exotic stuffed animals, indiscriminately juxtaposed in the same vitrine, for example a polar bear, football helmet and gorilla’s skull.

     Haunted decor. Elephant foot chairs to straddle and drink beer on.

     Intoxicating in its contradictions, this place is the ultimate Don Quixotesque gesture.
